You said something about the lyrics to the song being key to the meaning. I didn't really follow the song, but if I knew the lyrics, I may be able to piece it together.

Maybe. This episode is very blurry...there are large parts of it that I do not expect ANYONE to understand. (the train tracks, the vase, the calender)
Perhaps the lyrics can help with the story..."stay here" -staying at home, with his friends? its hard to understand.
