I didn't like it.

After dying, I didn't bother to continue. It's just bland. Very bland.

I'm not terribly fond of the minor inconsistencies

I am at my wits end dealing with placing bombs and ending up being slightly to the left, top, down, or right from them, and getting screwed the hell over as a result.

Controls are kind of dodgy

But otherwise a good game for a few plays. For those who seem to always take damage when they try to attack the enemies, try jump kicking or attacking them from behind.

Wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting it to be

I think it would have been far better if it was versus a CPU player instead of an endless survival game against a bunch of mindless rolling rocks.

Lacks the interactivity of Raiden X

Raiden X still reigns supreme. The final boss of Raiden IIs A is quite impressive. The fighter part, not the shell part.
