[Fancy Pants Adventures]

Hate to say this, but I'm giving it a low score

My computer nearly crashed from playing this game! After I cleared World 1 after defeating the Angry Penguin, I entered the "Start Game" Door once more, and fell into a world of nothing. No land, no character, nothing. Because of that I was just losing lives. I decided to close the browser. And then the computer nearly froze! Ctrl Alt Delete almost didn't work, and it took a LONG time before I could do anything else (restart the comp for example)

Games where I have to just about turn off the power and risk damaging the comp do NOT get high scores in my book.

1) Just refresh the browser, 2) Flash 8 has a memory leak when handling large movie clips that Flash 7 doesn't, 3) Last I checked, taking up lots of RAM can't damage hardware. 4) Buy more RAM. 5) You do realize that you just gave my game a 2 because you beat it and liked it so much you wanted to play it again, and that's what crashed your browser, don't you?

Level 8

Kinda boring. At least it wasn't deathly long. I wasn't satisfied with the fluidity and the response time of the controls, and kinda wished the shotgun would have fired slightly faster.

I made level 11

I was able to buy stuff after I died, but sadly I wasn't able to continue. Holy laser rocks. I thought the main gun overheated way too fast.

If there is one thing I'm glad for...

...The Save Points! Those were definitely needed, AND they refilled your health! But unless I missed the "run" key, it's kind of futile at the start because there is no way to avoid those stupid dogs in the flat rooms.

I beat all 10 levels!

Fun game. I tend to enjoy these "RPG" type growing games. Not the best, nor the longest, but it was short and to the point.

One control flaw hurts the score

Although you can use Up+Right at the same time to circle right, you somehow are not allowed at all to use Up+Left to circle left. That hurt me considerably.

I also wished there was a "Start From Boss" option as well as the ability to do it traditionally, respawn a life (halving score) from the point of death, instead of restarting, that was a drag.

I always loved these side-scrolling space shooters (like R-Type) as well as the top-scrolling ones ala Raiden. Good knockoff, but as always, add as many powerups and enemies as you can if you decide to make a sequel to this.
