Based on Contra 3, if i'm not mistaken.

I notice a lot of games by BoMToons (or those coded by him) are based on the old classics like Zelda, Contra, etc.

Which is great, because I love those games. Based on the game "Contra 3" for the SNES, this is a short but sweet fan project.

With a bit of humor mixed in at the end. LOL at the helicopter pilot when you let Pico fall into the lava.

Very fun point-and-click adventure

A fairly large point-and-click adventure with the Mockery style of humor? Simply awesome!

Being able to interact with a fair number of objects in 3 different ways (and get a sarcastic message each time) is the main characteristic of this game that puts this at the top of the point-and-click game heap.

And medals too. Doubly awesome!

Interactivity and humor (and some logic puzzles) are what makes these kinds of games great.

A simple Raiden-style game....with upgrades!

Despite a bug that left me quite displeased, I still give this game admirable marks.

That bug? It deemed me a "CHEATER" and disqualifed me for medals and I had to start a new game, after having done a significant amount of grinding in earlier waves. Considering that I have no idea HOW to cheat in this game, I felt this was quite unfair.
But it never happened in my 2nd game, and I got the rest of the medals.

And what makes this game fun?

For one, it's a Raiden-type game, and those are always fun.

But this is a Raiden-type space shooter where you actually get to upgrade your ship after each wave. Upgrades are always awesome.

And you can save your progress. This game was a lot longer than I thought it would be.

All in all, solid work.

Battery needs to charge, sir!

This was a most unusual, but interesting little game.

I was a little off-put when I couldn't find a option to lower the quality, but unlike most games, this one did if for me!

A Dress Up game with medals? That's something new

A sweet dress-up game where you can build a mecha, with conventional, unconventional, and ridiculous parts? And ridiculous amounts of guns? And medals?

Combined with ease of use, a perfect neutral background, (as well as others)
and some original innovation, this dress-up game sets the standard for modern dress-up games.

A true platforming game

This game is surely one of the better platformers out there. I have only cleared 7 of the levels so far, so this review is a bit premature. I can tell this has the makings of a well-made platformer.

But I want to address one major flaw. At least for me anyway.
This game lags, and that's bad, considering that there isn't much there to cause lag. It doesn't make any sense. I've played more graphic-intensive games with as much, or less, lag. (Although I did that under "low" quality)

This game could definitely use a quality change function, since none of
these Flash 10 games seems to have a quality adjust menu like the older
ones did.

Not necessarily the most helpful review, but lag can make any game less fun and more frustrating to play, so I think for those with older computers, a quality adjustment feature would be ideal.

I defeated all 10 opponents

I defeated all 10 opponents! And got all the medals.

This game uses just one of the most simple of concepts, and uses just a single key on the keyboard to play the entirety of it.

The game in and of itself is about as short and simple as it gets, but the final 2 opponents are not!
As well, it has the trademark top-notch art, animation, and humor you'd expect by this flash artist.

It takes unique talent to make a game that you complete start-to-finish in just 5 minutes in it's entirety this good.

All the medals work just fine, however I encountered a glitch that caused the game to go completely black upon replaying.
You'd hear all the action but see nothing, and supposedly not be able to go back to the main menu even if you found the button that takes you back there.

In which case, it would screw your chance of getting the "Masochist" medal, because you'd have to re-load the game.
However this glitch just disappeared and I was able to re-play 10 times with no problem and get that medal. I just pressed SPACE during the intro cutscene and it worked just fine each time thereafter.

Overall, Simple concept. Simple game. Well made. Well done.

The most redundant platformer ever!

Redundant does not necessarily mean boring or not fun, as the case may be here.
Although gameplay is severely limited, which, I guess, will eventually bore even those without short attention spans.

This is not so much an actual game, but more like a combination between a platformer and one of those custom sign generators.

Level Editor for the win! Like custom sign generators, this has a myriad of fun possibilities, but it's severely limited outside of possible "endings".

Host of players available is shorter than host of guests. No custom background options, and no way to make it a little more than suicide off a platform of the same length everytime. As well, no other novelties, like custom cloud designs, etc.

Another huge gripe. Making a new level overwrites (deletes) the previously made level instead of adding to a string of custom levels, thus requiring you to copy the code (and pasting it somewhere, like a text document) before making a new level.

AND WHY CAN YOU NOT MAKE PLAYLISTS OF CUSTOM LEVELS? You can make levels, but not add them to a playlist?

Overall, it is good, but I think you severely lacked depth, in spite of the level editor. And most of that is a few key features missing from said level editor.

More great Medieval Madness!

Again, this is a great game for the same reasons Medieval Rampage 1 was.

However the lag was HORRID this time, even at LOW quality, and there were a few more inconsistencies and bugs this time around.
Still, nothing that unravels the gameplay (except the lag)

I cleared all 170 tasks and got all the medals, and it was worth it.

The ability to use melee weapons, and magic, as well as ranged bows, made this game that much better and more interesting. Using melee weapons decreases the lag as well. And new bows! My favorite is the Cross Bow +
Oh, and you get arrow drops this time! Great!

I noticed this time around the arrows did have unique effects, though the Light Arrows seemed to have the only practical effect, as the others effects were more asthetic. The explosions from the Electric Arrows, for example, didn't do anything but....well...explode. And the poison arrows? Seemingly nothing.

The magic could of been a little more diverse. Wide target area upon impact, and splitting magic like the Cazgur had for example.
Magic was generally ineffective for the last 10 levels and mana potions don't really restore that much magic to warrant playing a game as a magic specialist.
That is, mostly all attacks being magic.

Having the CONTROL button as the key to use Mana Potions was a BAD idea, as sometimes it would activate a shortcut window when I pressed it too fast, which would interrupt my game.
Even worse, I accidentally closed my browser when I pressed CTRL to use a Mana Potion, then cycled my weapons backward with the "Q" button! As a result I accidentally closed the browser window with CTRL+Q and lost my game!

I think having the SHIFT button as the key to use Mana Potions would have been a better idea.

Still, in spite of all the lag and some issues involving the CTRL button, this game was worth playing and worth the wait.

Great top-view shooter, with medals!

Let me clarify this first. Those who are wondering why they get the "kill first enemy" medal and not the "kill tenth enemy" medal is because he means 1 and 10 different TYPES of enemies, not total kills. So "kill tenth enemy" means kill 10 different types of enemies. Play the whole game and you should have it.

As for the game itself, it does lag pretty badly, but putting the quality to LOW from the options menu before beginning a new game, makes it manageable and not TOO bad.

I like the bow drop system, neither drops too many nor too few, and the ability to sell dropped bows to buy more arrows and better bows.
Money pickups are modest and will generally rely on you to manage pickups and selling extra bows, a good balance between oversaturation and undersaturation of funds.

And the ability to upgrade and the points given was spot-on and balanced, too. (Side note:You can't get anything upgraded to Level 6 for 32 upgrade points)

As such, I've found a few minor glitches and oddities in the game. Nothing that unravels any part of the game And they are:

-Although buying the better arrows requires the better bows (MUST have a Crossbow to buy Fire arrows for example) once bought, you can shoot them with any bow, even the Shortbow!
Yes, you can get your Shortbow to shoot fire arrows

-The "suicide" achievement is listed as dying on level 1, but is also achieved by simply dying in Survival mode, as Survival mode is simply an endless first level that increases in difficulty.

-After getting all 100 achievements (and the final medal) I did not actually get the medal until I began a new game

-As listed previously, fully upgrading something to L5, it will list your next upgrade (L6) at 32 points, something which cannot be done, as the max level is 5. Might confuse a couple players. No big deal.

This game was fun to play, and one of the beter top-view shooters out there.
